Disadvantages of vinyl wallpaper: what can push the buyer
In defense of vinyl wallpapers, I will say that my at home in the children’s vinyl wallpapers of the production of USA. In their structure there are microwaves that allow the wall to “breathe”. I’m sure of their safety. There is a slight wet cleaning. But they are expensive and not sold in a regular store. And now the arguments against vinyl wallpaper in our stores.
Firstly, the walls of our houses “breathe”. This is not about through ventilation through the wall, but about the emission of water vapor through materials. Behind the vinyl wallpaper at the slightest temperature difference, condensation occurs, as a result of which mold forms, wallpaper, plaster are exfoliated. Such wallpapers dry out by the departure of moisture inside the wall.
Secondly, vinyl wallpapers have a pungent smell, preserved after gluing. In our stores there are many stylized vinyl wallpapers of suspicious origin for European brands. Therefore, to say that all vinyl wallpapers are good and breathing, you cannot. Wallpaper of different manufacturers are very different. In addition, when burning (in a fire), any vinyl emits a poisoning gas of sarin.
