Orlando is located just 40 minutes from the John F. Kennedy Space Center, a NASA launch site and one of ten space operations centers.
NASA settled in Florida back in 1962, and it was at this base that the famous lunar project was carried out, which resulted in the first human landing on the moon.
Today, more than 10,000 people work at the Kennedy Space Center, and since 1995, a visitor complex has been built on its basis – a large-scale cultural center that brings together various objects related to the conquest of space. These are museums, cinemas, monuments, as well as modules of aircraft.
According to the 2020 report on the impact of NASA on the US economy, the presence of the space agency brings $5.9 billion to Florida annually, increasing the already high local GDP.
Florida’s economic prosperity and the large number of well-paid professionals employed in these grand projects make Orlando a good investment opportunity.
