Despite the overall decline in real estate demand, the segment of elite housing always remains in demand. During the crisis, the cost of inexpensive objects fell significantly, and the price of elite has practically not changed.
This indicates that in the crisis period it is the market of elite housing that remains the most stable and protected, which means that during periods of instability, investment in it is justified than ever.
What housing can rightfully be considered elite? At the moment, the market is filled with offers of the “imaginary elite”, which, in fact, in the best case, housing for comfort class or premium class, offered at sky-high prices. But not every expensive object is elite. Such real estate must be unique. And in different countries, uniqueness criteria are also different. The general criterion for the elite of housing for all states is its prestige and exceptional location.
In England, elite real estate is concentrated not only in London’s Golden Square. Here, medieval castles are considered to be elite, which are significantly remote from the capital, and very small apartments somewhere in Chelsea.
It must be recalled that the history of most such apartments is usually no less wealthy than the historical value of another castle. But the main feature of suburban housing lies in really incredible expanses. In England, coupled with mansions, whole hectares of land with meadows, forests and reservoirs are sold.
