Home owners usually come into despair, trying to determine the style of their houses. This is due to the fact that most modern buildings actually represent a combination of several styles.
Modern houses are often called neo-eclectic (t. e. borrowing ideas, styles or tastes from a wide and diverse series of sources). In other words, such houses are an eclectic mixture of elements borrowed from many historical periods, places and building traditions.
